Learning the future! Education for sustainable development at the Munich Adult Education Centre

agado is currently developing training formats that will enable lecturers at Munich Adult Education Centre (MVHS) to integrate Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) topics into their courses.

The aim of the project is, firstly, to provide training for MVHS lecturers. Through these training sessions, lecturers are first made aware of ESD themselves and come to understand the impact their decisions and actions have on the world. In a second step, they are provided with support and methods for integrating ESD into their teaching programmes at the MVHS. This includes, in particular, courses that may not initially appear to be directly linked to ESD, such as language or health courses. 

A further aim of the project is to expand the integration of ESD into the educational programmes offered by MVHS. ESD is thus to be structurally anchored in the educational programme of the MVHS.

agado first develops concepts for different training formats and then initiates their implementation.

The project was commissioned by the City of Munich in cooperation with the Munich Adult Education Centre (MVHS).
