Learning the future! Education for sustainable development at the Munich Adult Education Centre

agado is currently developing training formats that will enable lecturers at Munich Adult Education Centre (MVHS) to integrate Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) topics into their courses.

One aim of the project is to qualify lecturers at the MVHS. The training courses firstly sensitise lecturers themselves to ESD and help them to understand the impact of their decisions and actions on the world. In the second step, the lecturers come into contact with opportunities to expand sustainable behaviour at the MVHS. They also receive support and methods for integrating ESD into all their seminars. The focus here is also on seminars that do not initially appear to be directly related to ESD, such as language or health courses.

A further aim of the project is to expand the integration of ESD into the educational programmes offered by MVHS. ESD is thus to be structurally anchored in the educational programme of the MVHS.

agado first develops concepts for different training formats and then initiates their implementation.

The project was commissioned by the City of Munich in cooperation with the Munich Adult Education Centre (MVHS).
