However, in order to actively shape a sustainable future, they need competence and knowledge about processes and interrelationships in climate protection, as well as opportunities to actively engage in the topic.
The project EFDI - Ecological Future Diverse and Inclusive aims to make knowledge, skills and participation opportunities on the topics of climate protection and sustainability easily accessible for people with intellectual disabilities and/or high support needs.
In the project, tailor-made offers for people with intellectual disabilities and/or high support needs, as well as inclusive educational materials are developed that contribute to an ecologically conscious lifestyle and to a growing awareness of climate protection and the environment.
The different needs of adult learners are specifically taken into account through different learning designs. In addition, they are directly involved in the elaboration and development of the project results. Their knowledge and experience are of great value to the project.
The EFDI project aims to take another step towards inclusive education at the EU level and to make an important contribution to climate protection and the empowerment of people with intellectual disabilities.
